Peach Cobbler II

This peach cobbler is so easy and full of buttery goodness! This one is different than the other peach cobbler recipe that I posted. In this peach cobbler recipe the peaches are blanketed with a bread like dough.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Combine the sliced peaches and the 1/2 cup sugar in a bowl and chill for about 3-4 hours; you will see that there is a bunch of juice at the bottom of the bowl.

Place the melted butter in a 9×13″ baking dish.

Stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl and add the milk, stir just until combined.

Pour the prepared batter over the butter. Do not stir!

Pour the peaches over the batter and butter. Do not stir!

Sprinkle the cinnamon evenly over the top. Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the batter sets and is golden brown.

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
