31 Bits

Last night I had the opportunity to go to 31 Bits Summer Kick-off Trunk Show, at their headquarters in Costa Mesa.  It was a brilliant night filled with music, food, good company and amazing jewelry; all for an amazing cause.  For those of you unfamiliar with 31 Bits, all of the beautiful jewelry is handmade in Uganda.  These woman make the pieces and 31 Bits purchases them from the maker, giving these woman a steady income.  While participating in the 31 Bits program the women are being educated; learning English, they undergo financial training, they learn about health and AIDS, and are involved in vocational education.

Here is a brief video about 31 Bits and their journey.

How amazing are those women!?!  Please take the time to have a look at the 31 Bits website and purchase some amazing, handmade jewelry!

Here are some pictures from the 31 Bits Summer Kick-off Trunk Show.
