Los Angeles Wednesdays

The school year, work and school has once again started and so LA Wednesdays have come to an end.  My cousin and I decided to head up to the Griffith Observatory, we drove around Hollywood and ate at the famous Pink’s Hot Dogs.  Although the Observatory was closed, the grounds were open and there were some spectacular views of Downtown LA and the Hollywood sign.  I am sure at night it is even more dazzling, with all the glittering lights of the city below.  We drove along Hollywood Boulevard, taking in all of the sites and crazy people and admired all of the beautiful homes in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles.  To end our lovely morning, we stopped for an early lunch at Pink’s, on La Brea and Melrose.  My cousin had never been and was a little reluctant to try the chili cheese dogs, but he did and loved them!  Pink’s in a tiny restaurant and headshot’s of many celebrities line the walls inside.  If you go for an early lunch, around 11:30, there shouldn’t be too long of a line.  Go on the weekend or in the evening and you can expect to wait anywhere from 30-45 minutes.  Don’t let this deter you, it is well worth the wait!

I am sure there will be many more trips to LA and the surrounding area, but I will miss our Wed. morning strolls around the city.

Happy Wednesday!  Until next time.

  1. LOVE your photos… I used to live in LA and nothing, nothing beats its beautiful blue skies and sunshine (on no smog days…lol). You made me homesick now… lol…

    1. Thank you so much, it really means a lot! I’ve come to have a new respect for the city. I never realized how much there is to do and see. I would like to go back to the Observatory/Park, after the rain washed away all that smog. I’m sure it is even more beautiful then.
