Santa Maria della Vittoria; Rome, Italy

Santa Maria della Vittoria is a quaint, beautiful, Baroque church in Rome, Italy.  Although it hosts the famous Ecstacy of Saint Teresa, by Bernini,  you will not find this church on any tourist map.  There is a cloud of disgust, if you will, amongst the patrons of the church.  Most Italian church members will not even discuss its content, quite the scandal.  Despite the buzz around the piece, this church is spectacular!  I didn’t get a shot of the exterior, because it was covered with canvas a scaffolding.

Next visit I will take my time and soak in all of the frescoes and sculptures. …and take better pictures.  haha
